I have just one thing to say about the survey boondoggle/wank/horror taking over my flist/circle: AAAAAAAAARGH.

Not at fandom or fen, but at stupid pop scientists with brand new Ph.Ds (or none in the case of Mr. Gaddam) who manage to make a huge swath of scientists look like idiots.

That said, DAMN there are eloquent people in fandom.

You know what I'm going to do tomorrow? I'm going to go to work and I'm going to do REAL SCIENCE. How exciting.
